Mount Bisoke

Bisoke volcano is sometimes identified as Visoke stands with a height of 3700m in the Parc De Volcanoes and one of the “a thousand hills”. Hiking the upland is an adventurous and most popular activity after the
gorillas and golden monkeys owing to the moderate height of daily challenge ranging from 5-6hours depending on the pace. Hiking here is worthwhile engagement as it offers the distinctive conic shape of a
“perfect” volcano with a deep Crater Lake in its crater, beautiful scenery with views of the lavish Virungas and surrounding undulating backdrops. While at the top of the volcano, you experience a fog experience marvel at one of the beautiful crater and lake of the Virunga ranges (Bisoke) with an estimated 400 meters of diameter 100 meters depth well placed at the summit.

The Activity starts very early with fresh minds and energetic bodies but as the day goes exhaustion and dehydration sets in thus one is advised to always seek services of the porter in the expedition as the light
back parks may tend to become heavier and heavier for every step restraining your zeal to climb fast with minimum oxygen supply. Therefore out any load you get extra support of the porters dragging uphill or supporting you from the back past the lianas and muddy ways till you attain climax where you are soaked into fog above the clouds.
